Futures Trading Lab · Software

Trading tools built from real workflow problems.

The software track turns recurring trading and research problems into tools: indicator logic, dashboards, backtesting support, data workflows, risk utilities, and eventually standalone applications when a problem is important enough to deserve its own product.

Public-release policy: prototypes may be discussed before they are downloadable. Substantial applications normally receive their own repository, deployment, testing history, and Akil Digital project page rather than being buried inside the Futures Lab repo.
Active

Kit Decision Engine

The first major software system in the lab: a TradingView decision-support indicator combining state, authority, structure, balance, value, continuation, risk, session context, and setup sequencing.

Planned

Research utilities

Data preparation, study templates, exploratory analysis, feature inspection, result comparison, and reproducible backtesting support for Futures Lab research.

Planned

Risk & drawdown tools

Utilities for structural risk, funded-account constraints, MAE/MFE analysis, drawdown simulation, scenario testing, and capital-allocation decisions.

Build rule

Prototype here. Promote when the project earns it.

Small experiments can begin inside the private Futures Trading repository. Once a tool becomes a substantial application, it should get its own GitHub repository, deployment surface, evidence trail, and public Akil Digital destination.

Data

Market-data workflows

Contract mapping, session normalization, local data preparation, derived features, and reproducible provenance without redistributing data that is licensed or private.

Backtesting

Study infrastructure

Reusable components for defining hypotheses, running controlled studies, recording assumptions, preserving results, and comparing changes without hindsight rewriting.

Visualization

Decision dashboards

Interfaces that make state, regime, structural context, volatility, risk, and study outputs easier to interpret without confusing display with authority.
